Lighthouse is now on plans. This page is the single place to see what changes, what it costs, and how to get set up. We keep it current, so bookmark it rather than saving a copy.
Lighthouse indexes the full transaction history of the Canton Network, down to individual parties and contracts, and powers a large share of the Featured Apps built on it.
What is changing
Free stays free. 3,000 calls a day, all you need is an API key. The Explorer site stays completely free and needs no account at all.
Higher volume and the supervalidator and founding-affiliate endpoints move to a paid tier. Fixed monthly price.
What you should do: register an API key and pick your plan. Plan limits are in effect, so setting this up keeps your access uninterrupted.

You can change plan at any time.
Register and create your key
1. Sign in
Go to lighthouse.cantonloop.com and sign in with your wallet. Select your party ID in the top-right corner and choose Account. That page brings your identity, plan and tools together.
2. Choose a plan
Open the Plan tab, select a plan and confirm. API keys are issued on every plan, including Free.
3. Create an API key
Go to Tools, then API keys, then Create API key. Name it after the script or service that will use it, so you know what to revoke later. Keys are read-only.
The key is shown once. Copy it straight into your secret store. You can hold up to five active keys and revoke any of them from the same page.
4. Make your first call
Authenticate with a bearer token in the Authorization header. Set your key and the base URL, then call any endpoint. The base URL is https://lighthouse.cantonloop.com/api.
5. Try it in Swagger
Open the Swagger docs, select Authorize, and paste your key. Every endpoint is then callable from the browser, which is the fastest way to see response shapes before you write code.
Token Standard V2 is supported
Lighthouse supports Token Standard V2 (CIP-112) through the API as well as the UI. Two endpoints are available:
GET /api/token-movements lists canonical V2 movements, with exact filters on admin, instrument_id and party, plus cursor-based pagination.
GET /api/token-movements/{id} returns one movement with its type, amount, sender and receiver accounts, update ID and EventLog provenance.
There is no allowlist. Every structurally valid V2 EventLog is projected, so any instrument that emits them appears without us registering it first. These endpoints cover movements, not balances.

What do I need to do?
Register an API key and pick your plan. That is all. Your access continues uninterrupted.
Can I change plan later?
Yes, at any time.
What if my usage does not fit any plan?
Write to [email protected] and we will work out the right arrangement. Enterprise exists for higher limits, private deployments and SLAs.
I lost my key. What now?
Keys are shown once and cannot be retrieved. Revoke the old one and create a new one from the same page. You can hold five at a time.
Is the Explorer site affected?
No. It stays free and needs no account.
How do I cancel a paid plan?
From your Account page, at any time. No call or email is needed, and the cancellation takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for. The Billing Terms cover this in full.
